MEET YOUR RECOVERY FAMILY

Alisha Beck, CPS-AD, CARES, FPM Program Director

Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist | Certified Peer Specialist – Addictive Disease | Forensic Peer Mentor | Certified MRT Facilitator

 Book time with Alisha Beck

My name is Alisha Beck, and I am a woman in long-term recovery. For sixteen years, addiction controlled every part of my life. I lost everything that made me who I was — my children, my peace, my confidence, and my purpose. On January 21, 2018, I found myself on my hands and knees in a county jail, completely broken and searching for a way out. That moment became the day everything changed. I surrendered and allowed God to step in and begin rebuilding my life.

Through faith, perseverance, and the right support, I took the broken pieces and turned them into something beautiful. Today, I’m a proud mother, wife, and daughter. I serve as the Program Director at The Recovery Spot of West Georgia, where I help others discover that recovery and restoration are possible.

Music has always been a part of my healing. I write songs inspired by my lived experiences; stories of pain, redemption, and hope. My music gives voice to the journey of recovery and reminds others that even in the darkest moments, light can still be found.

I want to be a voice of hope for those who believe they’ve gone too far, reminding them that transformation is always possible.

The Bible verse Proverbs 3:5 has been the driving force behind my recovery:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not upon your own understanding.

Hannah Grant, CPS-MH/AD, CARES, FPM Diversion Program Director

Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist | Certified Peer Specialist – Addictive Disease & Mental Health | Forensic Peer Mentor | WRAP I Facilitator

Book time with Hannah Grant

My name is Hannah Grant, and I am an overcomer.

From surviving trauma to finding redemption through faith and recovery, I’ve learned that healing is possible for anyone willing to take the first step. My recovery date is 9/8/2022. Methamphetamines and Fentanyl were my demons. My recovery journey began through the 12 Steps, and today, my walk is centered around both Christianity and the principles of the 12-Step program. I believe that recovery is not one-size-fits-all — I wholeheartedly support all pathways to recovery and meet each individual where they are.

As a CARES, CPS-AD, CPS-MH, and FPM, I’ve dedicated my life to helping all people grow through what they go through. I am a graduate of Muscogee County's Adult Drug Court. I have a background in case management and group facilitation within the treatment setting and currently serve as the Diversion Program Director with Carroll County Mental Health Advocates and The Recovery Spot. My own lived experience — from addiction, incarceration, and loss to restoration and hope — has fueled my passion for peer support and advocacy.

Outside of my professional role, I use my voice to inspire others through speaking engagements, music and singing, worship and storytelling. Whether I’m facilitating groups, sharing my testimony, or leading recovery events, my mission remains the same: to spread hope, grace, and the message that no one is too far gone to be redeemed.

Today, I am a proud mother, daughter, and fiancee. I have healthy relationships for the first time in my life. I have fallen in love with myself, and know my self-worth. My addictive disease doesn't define me, my God does. My voice was once taken, but now I have it back... for good, and my goal is to help others find theirs to.

“Grow through what you go through” isn’t just my favorite quote — it’s the heartbeat of my life and my calling.

The pain you've been feeling can't compare to the joy that's coming.

Romans 8:18

Stephanie Gann, CPS-AD, CARES

Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist | Certified Peer Specialist – Addictive Disease

My name is Stephanie Gann, and I am a woman in long-term recovery.

For many years, addiction controlled my life. I battled methamphetamine addiction, opiate addiction, alcohol dependency, incarceration, and deep personal trauma. During that time, I lost pieces of myself and the life I once dreamed of. But through accountability, treatment, and unwavering faith, my life began to change.

I completed Family Treatment Court and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), which helped transform not only my circumstances but my mindset. Those experiences taught me responsibility, perseverance, and the power of rebuilding from the inside out. What once felt like the end of my story became the beginning of my restoration.

Today, I am a proud mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I serve as a Certified Peer Specialist with The Recovery Spot of West Georgia and Carroll County Mental Health Advocates, where I use my lived experience to walk alongside others on their recovery journey.

I believe that recovery is possible for everyone and that healing looks different for each person. My goal is to create a safe space where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported — especially during their hardest moments.

I am currently pursuing my Associate’s degree in Biblical Studies at CCU and plan to graduate in 2026. My studies focus on family dynamics, marriage, nutrition, and social work. I strive to bring both lived experience and biblical guidance into the work I do, believing that God restores families, renews minds, and turns pain into purpose.

Today, I walk in freedom, restoration, and hope. The struggles that once defined me no longer do. My mission is to encourage others to believe that their story is not over and that recovery is real.

“If nothing changes, nothing changes.”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
— Jeremiah 29:11

Michael McArdle

Peer Support Specialist

My name is Michael McArdle and I am a person in long term recovery. My recovery date is February 7, 2020.   For 20 years addiction has had control over my life.  My transformation from addiction to recovery did not come easy.  It took years of negative consequences and health scares to get my soul to wake up to change.

Today, my life is a story of recovery, resilience, and second chances.  Through recovery, support, personal and spiritual growth, I’ve rebuilt my life and found purpose in sharing hope with others who may still be struggling. Today, my journey is about healing, helping others, and proving that transformation is possible.

My recovery journey began through the 12 steps and working with a licensed therapist.  I am a firm believer that recovery is a personal journey and what worked for me may not work for you.  I emphatically believe in all pathways to recovery and will walk beside you no matter what path you may choose.

As a Peer Support Specialist for Carroll County Mental Health Advocates and The Recovery Spot I get to walk side by side with my peers to show that even though recovery is a personal journey we never have to walk that road alone.

Today I am a proud husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  I have healthy relationships and am accountable.  I practice self-care through my spirituality, meditation, exercise, and music.  I am a drummer in multiple bands as well as part of a worship team at church.  I live a wonderful fulfilling life today and it all started when I made the decision to act.

I use my lived experience with addiction to show others that if you are still breathing there is always hope!!
